    Our Association was founded in 1966 by a group of local church groups in response to the desperate need in the local area for affordable rental housing. Christian Action has grown into a vital local provider of accommodation in four North London boroughs. We are a diverse, fun and friendly team whose mission is to provide high quality and affordable support and services to those in housing need.

     

    Role Purpose
    Our Team Assistants are the first point of contact within a team, and provide excellent customer care to both our external and internal customers. They are our administrative experts, helping to ensure our services run smoothly and solving problems as they arise. They work efficiently and effectively to help our teams deliver on time and on budget.

     

    Core Responsibilities

      • Assist the Building Safety Compliance Manager to ensure Christian Action Housing Association meets all obligations relating to statutory and local compliance for our housing stock
      • Assist Building Safety Compliance Manager in compiling a robust programme of works for FRA’s, Gas, Electric, Asbestos, Legionella and LOLER to ensure that the associations statutory and compliance responsibilities are adhered to.
      • Make sure all relevant legislation is adhered to, where Christian Action Housing Association  has a statutory duty as a Social Landlord, making sure that our responsibilities are effectively discharged
      • Collect, collate and input data to produce accurate reports as required to assess non-compliance
      • Assist with monthly KPI reporting (internal and external) in all areas of Compliance, Health & Safety
      • Provide excellent customer service in person, telephone and in writing to internal and external customers
      • To provide administrative support for the Building Safety Compliance Manager
      • To have an awareness of key health and safety information, and role model best practice
      • Uphold our values working collaboratively with colleagues across the Association

      • Any other duties that may be reasonably required

    Requirements

    Essential

      • Understanding of Health & Safety and Statutory Compliance.
      • Ability to deliver high quality, value for money services within defined budgets.
      • Experience of monitoring performance and maintaining accurate records and systems.
      • Ability to prioritise, plan and balance short, medium and long term goals and objectives.
      • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
      • Commitment to developing, managing and delivering high quality customer-driven services, demonstrating best practice, and achieving value for money.
      • IT literate, proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel.
      • Team player who is committed to delivering excellent services to the local community.
      • English & Maths GCSE Grade C or equivalent.
